Mom
Of all the beautiful rugs that has been created by me has been passed down from three generations. From my grandma Desbah Begay, and my mother Dinah Hathale.  My mom is my mentor. She gave me love, she gave me strength and courage. My mother always told me never be in a bad mood and weave. Be grateful, be patient and be still. Think and think twice. My mom has taught me all that, which is amazingly beautiful. I love her.

According to the Navajo Legend, Spider woman instructed the Navajo women how to weave on a loom, which Spider Man told them how to make. The crosspoles were made of sky and Earth cords, the warpsticks, of Sun rays, the healds of rock crystals and sheet lightning. The batten was a sun halo, white shell made the comb. There were four spindles: the first was a zigzag of lightning with a whorl of cannel coal; one a stick of flash lightning with a whorl of turquoise; a third had a stick of sheet lightning with a whorl of abalone; a rain streamer formed the stick of the fourth, and it's whorl was a white shell.

These are rugs that I have woven, and which I have created the designs.

		These rugs are all not finished because I took pictures of them while I was working on them. The finished product are on the bottom.
